Hey Alli, I saw you in 1999 at the Birchmere in D.C. when you played with Betty. Your drumming had me transfixed all night. I'm not a musician, but I know what I like even when I don't know why.

Inspiration
I am a female drummer trying to promote alot of female drummers that are not famous, i love drums but hate not having the exceptance and the props that a dude can have playing the drums, so i am trying to turn a negative thing into a positive one. i thank you for being a great drummer

Justify the rush
For a few weeks now, I have been transfixed by the emotions that are continually proded at every time I listen to your '5am stroll'. I was reaching out to expand my knowledge of jazz...and I found you. You are a very inspirational woman. Thank You.- Katy G.

HI, I've never actually seen you play and the only thing I really know about you is what I have read from your biograpgy, but you and I are quite ironic. My name is Allison Miller, I am 17 and still in High School, but I have been a jazz dancer since the age of 10, and am trying to learn play drums, I find them fascinating. I am also brunett and have a strong passion for art. I am actually in History class right now, and didn't feel like doing the assignment because it is friday, and this is my last class for the day, so I typed my name; www.allisonmiller.com and your website poped up ( don't just type in allison though because it takes you to a rolls royce website). Its weird and cool to hear of such a person like you that is so much like me, I just thought i'd write.

same name, different hearts
Hey, I just googled my own name to see what would happen....who knew. Everyone has a look-a-like, and everyone sounds like someone else, but you never think of running into someone with your own name. But now that I have found you, I have looked up your music, adn you are prretty awesome. Myself I am a bit of a venture capitalist. I have opened two fitness clubs, two liquor stores, an oilfield company, and I am currently looking for a new "hobby" I am twenty five, doing all this with my 32 year old better half, and basically just living to be alive. Why not! I am in Alberta, Canada, and will someday soon, hopefully, continue to travel the world, Who knows maybe you will tour up this way!

Allison, Congratulations on the article on page 26 of March's Modern Drummer. I saw you at Appel Farm with Erin McKeown and thought that you, Erin and Sam worked really well together. I also appreciated your 4 limbed "dancing" part on WE ARE MORE. I knew it would not be long until you graced the pages of my favorite magazine!!! Best of Luck and hope to see you again soon. Travel safely. John

Dear Ms. Miller, I saw you play at the 55 Club last Saturday, the 14th. Forgive me for not recalling the sax man's name. What a tasteful, subtle accompanist *and* soloist you are! I'm now trying to perfect your rapid "see-saw" stroke on the hats. So who's a better lover: Zildjian or Bosphorus? Double ratamacue. David

nothing like it!
I'm Allison's biggest fan, and am happy to confirm all of your suspicions. Among all of the amazing projects she makes better is my band, Hipmotism. From the first time I heard her play I knew that the magic in her playing was sweet music to my ears. Playing with Allison is an astounding experience. She has taken listening, interacting and creating to a deep, personal, generous and inspiringly high level. Thanks, Allison, for your music and I hope we always find time and TIME and timelessness together. Peace, Erik Lawrence
